From Entrepreneur to Mentor: Empowering Veterans and the Next Generation. Teresa’s journey began with a foundation in construction working alongside her father. She then completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Montevallo. In 1993, she launched her own successful woman-owned and operated business that thrived for 30 years. For over 25 years, she honed her leadership skills through Landmark Education and Tony Robbins’ Platinum Partners, investing in the growth of others. Now, as a Commercial Business Developer, Teresa’s focus has shifted to mentoring aspiring construction entrepreneurs and supporting homeless veterans. She leverages her expertise as a licensed General Contractor and Roofing Contractor in Florida, along with 15 years of experience in remediation as a Mold Remediator and Indoor Environmentalist. Teresa is a co-founder of the Veteran’s Haven House, reflecting her unwavering commitment to ending veteran homelessness and providing support to those who have served our country with courage.

Sheila R. Baxter is a highly motivated person who cares about those who live on the margins of society. As a 30-year Army veteran, she specializes in strategic planning and leading teams. Baxter is a certified Chaplain and served 10 years at the Atlanta VA Healthcare system in Decatur, Georgia. In this capacity, she provided spiritual care and counseling for men and women veterans experiencing homelessness. A Virginia native, Baxter now resides in Atlanta, Georgia, and is committed to creating access for homeless men and women on the streets of Forest Park, Georgia. Her motto is: “Life’s greatest inspiration is to help those who are homeless, hopeless, or helpless.“

Dr. Sharon Dantzler, based in McDonough, Georgia, is the Senior Pastor at Monument of Faith Inc. in Stockbridge, GA. She holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Sociology, an MA in Counseling, and an Honorary Doctor of Divinity. Dr. Dantzler is also the co-founder of Veterans Haven House for Homeless Veterans. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership in Business at Regent University. Dr. Sharon has made significant contributions through the “Thumps Up“ recovery program in Atlanta, Georgia, providing financial support to over 150 individuals facing homelessness, substance abuse, HIV/AIDS, and other challenges. In recognition of her dedication to volunteer service and community building, Dr. Sharon Dantzler received the President's Lifetime Achievement Award from President Barack Obama in 2017 and a Lifetime Achievement Award from President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. in 2022.

Pastor Arnold Ruffin is the Pastor and the founder of the Solid Rock Sanctuary Church of God in Christ in Conley, Georgia. Pastor Ruffin is a Certified Christian Counselor and a Certified Chaplain of the International Christian Counselor Association. Pastor Arnold Ruffin is also one of the Co-founders of Haven House for Veterans. Pastor Ruffin is fulfilling the vision that God has given him for building people and building the Kingdom of God for His Glory!
